Once in a Lifetime Event! The Biggest Swing Dance Weekend of the Decade!
Frankie Manning, 23 Skidoo, Jonathan Stout Orchestra. 4 Tracks of classes (one track is designed for those who have never danced Lindy Hop before.) One amazing weekend of dances, classes and more. Presented by Daniel and Tiffiny. Check out the amazing schedule of classes below.
We've rented 6 venues to bring this all together. We'll be holding classes at all locations, and dances at the beautiful, historic Sherman Street Complex. A weekend like this only comes along once a decade. Don't miss it!
Who is Frankie Manning? 93 Year old Frankie Manning has contributed more to swing dancing than any other person in the world. As a dancer, innovator, and choreographer, he has been an unofficial "Ambassador of Lindy Hop," spreading its popularity through three continents while touring with Whitey's Lindy Hoppers in the 1930s and 40s, and again teaching, choreographing, and performing in the Lindy Hop revival of the 1980s and '90s.
23 Skidoo! is the current National Champion Swing dance team, and they call Denver their home. They are made up of 10 amazing couples who are full time dancers, choreographers, teachers, and historians.
Together, we present a weekend called : A Tribute to The Savoy. We'll have 4 tracks of classes, evening dances featuring the Jonathan Stout Orchestra, contests, performances, video presentations, and more!
