Fletcher Henderson was not the first black jazz musician to play and record with a white band or orchestra. From 1922-1925 one of the two trumpet players in the California Ramblers A White Jazz/Dance orchestra, was Bill Moore a very light skinned black jazz musician billed as the Hot Hawiian. In 1919 and 1920 Achille Bauqet a very light skinned black New Orleans clarinetist played and recorded with Jimmy Durante's Original New Orleans Jazz Band. and in 1923 Jelly Roll Morton record with the white New Orleans Rhythm Kings, best regards Ed Rounds
